I Will Pay You to Blog | My 2011 New Year's Resolution

UPDATE: Dec. 31. 2010. Here are the terms and conditions to the "I will pay you to blog" promotion.

2011 is but a few days away and I only have a short list to include in my New Years Resolution. This year I am fully determined to:

1. Stop Smoking
2. Work Harder
3. Start a New Small Business
4. Improve my Current Businesses
5. Help Change a Life or Two for the Better

Yes I am making an opportunity for you to get paid by blogging, but read up first.

I regularly buy 1 pack of cigarettes which costs roughly $1 every day. Marlboro Lights. They're really cheap here...

After 10 years of smoking I am beginning to feel its effects. I've tried on several occasions to quit smoking but failed only to smoke more. Fortunately (or belatedly unfortunately) I haven't been to the doctor's office for a long time.

My writing work is increasingly becoming steady and I am getting paid better and better rates. This gives me some spare bucks to spend. This has also affected my time for blogging and I've found myself struggling to come up with useful and witty blog posts.

Hence, I am toying with the idea of paying bloggers to blog on my blogs. The idea is, instead of smoking, I will pay $1 for a guest post every day. The niche topics would be:

1. Online Jobs - http://www.dansonlinejobs.com
2. Finance - http://www.moneyhowmuch.com
3. Ubuntu and Open Source - http://www.dannybuntu.com

I'm still working out the details, but by January 10, I'm hoping that there would be guest bloggers who would be willing to post a 400 word article on one of the sites.

This is an experiment that I would be willing to finance for at least 6 months or as long as I could, finances permitting. Details to follow later.

My wife thinks that the idea is good, but I'm still open to suggestions.
